“Liv and Maddie” and “Cloud 9″ star Dove Cameron posted a new video of herself covering “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen,” and she sounds amazing!! We just had a chance to see “Frozen” today (December 31, 2013). I absolutely loved the movie, and I love this song! Dove had this to say with her video: Definitely not my best, but I realized I hadn’t done a cover in half a year?! So, this was better than nothing. Enjoy my ugly singing faces. I love you all! With 2013 coming to close very soon, let’s take a look back at the year – in TV ratings! We’ll start off first with Disney Channel… Disney has to thank the movies, as 30 of their top 50 most watched programs this year were movies. Both Tangled and Despicable Me scored eight showings each in the top 50. Teen Beach Movie alone is the top scoring program for Disney this year. But the specials can’t be counted out either! The Wizards Return special in March and the Good Luck Jessie holiday special in November were the second and third most watched Disney Channel programs of the year. On the series side, Liv and Maddie got a nice sampling after Teen Beach Movie – with 5.8 million viewers and the top TV series telecast for Disney this year. Austin & Ally had five telecast in the top 50 this year, scoring 4.9 million for its most watched episode this year. Minus the crossover special, Jessie notched three spots and Good Luck Charlie had two. Shake It Up ended its run with two episodes in the top 50 for the year while animated favorite Gravity Falls had one. Dog With A Blog also placed one showing in the top 50, along with Disney Junior series Sofia the First. The top 50 most watched (total viewers ages 2+) programs on Disney Channel this year follow below these notes: Special Disney Channel Note: This list excludes short series and specials that run under 10 minutes (such as the Mickey Mouse cartoons, Disney Junior shorts, Tangled Ever After and Toy Story Toons). Please Note: In the Nielsen TV world, the year 2013 runs from 12/31/2012 to 12/29/2013. Therefore, three days of data (12/27-29/13) is currently unavailable as of this writing. If anything aired between these days scores enough viewers to be placed in the chart below, we’ll update later next week with the corrected information. Also, this data would be impossible to collect if it wasn’t for the wonderful set of information provided all year by Son of the Bronx. Please make sure to follow that site and Douglas Pucci (@SonOfTheBronx) on Twitter for more great TV ratings!Rank

The holidays may be almost over, but don’t. get too teary-eyed—the winter premiere of The Fosters is mere days away! After last season’s MAJ ending with Callie and Brendan’s kiss and then Callie ditching the fam, there’s no telling what will happen next. Luckily, Maia Mitchell gave us the deets (and a few spoilers!) on what you can expect.
1. Callie is not coming back—for awhile. Callie fled the scene at the end of the last episode. Why? “She runs away to protect Jude,” Maia said. Eventually, she makes her way to a group home that’s run by a character played by Rosie O’Donnell. “Meeting all of these new characters forces Callie to face some issues and aspects of her past that she hasn’t been able to deal with,” Maia said. “It will be pretty huge for everyone.”
2. She’ll dig up some dirt from years ago. The last scene of the first episode promises a shock to the system. “It’s really crazy,” Maia said. “Callie’s down and out and doesn’t have anywhere to go and she reaches out to someone from her past, which is her last hope of finding someone she can trust.” Hmmm, but who could it be?!
3. It’s not the end of Callie and Brendan. “I’m definitely rooting for them,” she said. “We’re starting to see a new relationship evolve. They’ll try to make it work but there is distance and forced separation.” Eeeeek. Even though Brendan and Callie are foster brother and sister, they’ve def got our vote!
It’s been a long wait, so don’t miss out on any of the action—tune in to the winter premiere on January 13 at 9!

The latest version of Romeo & Juliet hits the big screen today and we have to ask, what is a good romantic movie without an awesome theme song? The movie, starring Hailee Steinfeld & Douglas Booth, features a beautiful theme song written by Kait Weston called “Til Death Do Us Part.” We had the chance to chat with Kait about writing the song, the inspiration and her music. Your song is the theme for the new Romeo & Juliet film. Did you write this song specifically for the film? Yes! After watching just the trailer I was so inspired. I actually wrote the song in just 2 hours which never happens. I didn’t think anything would come of it but was pleasantly surprised when everyone including the producers of the film loved it! How is writing a song for a film different from writing a song for yourself? I was drawing inspiration from someone else’s story which I have done in the past and also my own life experiences with love which made writing this song actually very easy. What is the message you hope people get when listening to “Til Death Do Us Part”? I wanted to write a song that every generation could relate to and fall in love with. Whether you’re a married couple or a 15 year old girl, a song that made you feel that love is real. Since the song is part of Romeo & Juliet, what is your favorite thing about this classic love story? I think everyone searches for that fairytale love story. Romeo and Juliet is that greatest love story which is why I love it! What was it like filming the music video for the song? AMAZING! It was my first time shooting a music video with a professional team of people! I WAS SO LUCKY to have Jay Martin direct my music video who directed Christina Perri’s “Jar Of Hearts” and “A Thousand Years” videos! He is so talented & so nice. Jay and everyone who was apart of his team made my first music video shoot one that I will remember forever. Not to mention the food was great. I could be on set everyday. What can fans look forward to with your music? Is there another single or album on the way? I have been hibernating and writing away! I am most excited for everyone to hear my new music so they can get a better understanding of who I am as an artist! For someone who has never heard you before, how would you describe your sound? Soul driven pop music! What are some of your favorite theme songs from movies? “A Thousand Years” Christina Perri and “My Heart Will Go On” Celine Dion. Those two songs are beautiful! Do you have any message for your fans? YES! Believe…ALWAYS. Never ever let a ‘no’ stop you from doing what YOU LOVE. Surround yourself with people who see it in you and believe in you. They will take you the furthest! Be sure to check out Romeo & Juliet in theaters now and you can get Kait’s song now on iTunes.

This week, CBS officially announced a spin-off to How I Met Your Mother. It is called, appropriately, How I Met Your Dad. This show is on a list of several other spin-offs that were recently announced. Now it can’t just be me that sees a pattern forming in TV and Movies currently. It seems that whenever a show or film is successful, a sequel tends to come despite if it is needed. More often than not, the sequel tends to hurt the value of the original. Here are the top 5 spin-offs that we can see doing that. 5. Girl Meets World I’m so torn between how I feel about Girl Meets World. On one hand, I feel nostalgic about a reunion from one of my favorite shows growing up. On the other, will that humor still stick today. When you look at the most successful shows now, they aren’t the feel good, moral teaching classics we grew up with. Anyone who knows the Boy Meets World characters are much older now and will probably lose their patience within the first few episodes. Even the fans who can’t wait to see the reboot of the series are most likely too far removed for the show to have the same impact. I can definitely see the new series being very reflective of the popular original, but who knows if that will be a good thing or not. 4. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them If I said the name Newt Scamander, only true Harry Potter fans would know who I’m talking about. He is the author who writes the book that Harry eventually reads of the same name as the title. The spin-off was recently announced by J.K. Rowling, and will be set 70 years before the Potter stories. Executives are thrilled to hear about the new series, as it will in all likely-hood be a mega success. Fans are extremely excited to hear about the new prequel, especially since there will be several familiar characters returning. Harry Potter is one of the greatest series ever. Rowling will be held to a ridiculously high standard that may be impossible to reach. Satisfying the fans after the original series may come as a difficulty, and nobody wants to see a flop from the film. We’ll have to wait a while for it to come out, but extending the already very long string of movies is definitely a risk at this point. 3. How I Met Your Dad Maybe nervous isn’t the right word for the new series HIMYD. I think frustrated would work better. Either way, I don’t see this series making it past season 2. There are two main reasons for my speculation. The first is that the new series follows a completely different story. Supposedly, this isn’t from the mother’s perspective in the original show. That series would make sense and I would be very excited for. Apparently the new series will have a completely different cast but follow the same concept. So basically, it is “Hangover 2″ and “Hangover 3″ for television. I just don’t get it. The name of the show means nothing. It is the same exact thing. Would anyone’s opinion of the show change if it was about Robin meeting someone the whole time? That would have been “How I Met Your Dad”, and the only difference is Aunt Becky would have been narrating instead of Bob Saget. The other reason I am so not looking forward to this new series is how lacking the last few seasons of HIMYM have been. The writing is tired, the jokes are cliche, the story is repetitive, the timeline drags on, etc. I’m sure the writers are very talented and I don’t want to discredit them because putting out 9 seasons of a show is hard, but I think most fans have had enough. If they came out with a new show, I’m sure Carter Bays would thrive writing it. How I Met Your Dad is almost just a tenth season though. I am definitely nervous it will hurt the original’s value and most likely screw up the already complex story line of it since it will be in the same time period. I guess we will wait and see. 2. Star Wars: Episode VII I think everybody has already heard about Disney’s plan to reboot the Star Wars franchise. Die hard fans are nervous, and many don’t expect to see the same genius of the originals. What happened last time Star Wars was re-imagined, when the prequels came out in the early 2000s? At the Box Office the movies were a hit, but fans and critics alike felt it dramatically hurt the classic series’ reputation. The good news is, we get to see a return of the original cast members. The bad news is, Mark Hamill may pull his back out rather than his light saber. I really don’t know what to expect, except crazy visual effects that over hype the film and a lot of out of time references. JJ Abrams is an excellent writer and director, but he is definitely no Lucas. We aren’t talking about a far far away island either (main Lost writer), so the whole thing could end up blowing up in his face. 1. Better Call Saul Breaking Bad launched itself into becoming one of the greatest shows in television history. One of the main characters on this show was problem solver, corrupt lawyer Saul Goodman. Saul and his clever slogan, as shown in the title, was a fan favorite and AMC clearly saw the value in having him carry his own series now. The question is, can it really become original or will people tune in and say, “Oh so it’s just like Breaking Bad.” Even worse than that, people may not be able to differentiate it from any other lawyer show. I mean, Saul was extremely creative throughout the original series. How long can Gilligan keep that up without it becoming tired, unoriginal or unrealistic. Then, we must take a look at the timeline issues. They haven’t decided if this will be a prequel, sequel or both yet. Either way, odds are it will be impossible to keep it in the same timeline, which they plan on doing. There will need to be constant cameos, phone calls with the Breaking Bad characters, and all else that follows. Finally, on a less important note, is the idea of Bob Odenkirk pulling off a younger Saul. Of all characters, Saul easily aged the worse. Now we are supposed to believe he is 10 years younger? I’m not saying that the show cannot work. I’m just saying that of all the spin-offs announced, we are most nervous about “Better Call Saul.”

Qué p**ra eres Selena, gracias’ – @itslindavasquez ‘Ni siquiera me gusta Selena Gómez y estoy molesta. No puedes cancelar una gira sin razón’ – @drewy4

CASTING IS UNDERWAY FOR DISNEY
CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE INTRODUCING THE TEENAGE DESCENDANTS OF DISNEY’S EVIL VILLAINS – A GENERATION
NOW FACING A FOREBODING CHAPTER MORE DAUNTING THAN ANY SPELL – KENNY ORTEGA, EMMY AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR OF “HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL,” SET TO DIRECT – Casting is underway for Disney’s “Descendants,” a contemporary live-action
adventure-comedy that taps into Disney’s heritage characters – notably its most evil villains – to introduce their progeny, a modern
day generation of teenagers who ultimately question the evil that’s always been in their
hearts. Disney’s “Descendants” is scheduled to begin production next spring for a 2015
premiere on Disney Channel.
Kenny Ortega, the Emmy Award-winning director and choreographer of Disney’s record-
setting “High School Musical” TV movies and feature film, returns to Disney Channel to direct “Descendants.”
The casting directors are Natalie Hart and Jason La Padura, C.S.A. (“High School Musical” TV
movies and film, “Camp Rock,” “Teen Beach Movie”).
Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide, said, “We mined Disney’s treasure trove of stories and developed a new, comedic approach to the fabled characters everyone knows and loves.
The result is a modern and unexpected re-interpretation of classic heritage characters
utilizing contemporary, relatable settings and themes.”
In a present day idyllic kingdom, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen
(Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic “Beauty and the Beast”) is poised to take the throne.
His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of
Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains,
sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters.
These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie
and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the
offspring of iconic Disney heroes, including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains
regain power or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?
The script was written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott (creators and Emmy Award and
WGA Award nominees for their writing on “The Starter Wife,” also writers of “Runaway Bride”
and on “Desperate Housewives”). The production design will be by Mark Hofeling
(“Teen Beach Movie,” “High School Musical”).
The wardrobe design will be by Kara Saun(“Project Runway,” “America’s Best Dance Crew”).

Each episode begins at the end of a predicament, just after an adventure has gone absurdly haywire, just as twins Lindy and Logan and their friends Jasmine, Garrett and Delia somehow try to explain — with flashback scenes — exactly what happened. “I Didn’t Do It” series premiere is part of Disney Channel’s “JanNEWary” programming event FRIDAY, JANUARY 17 (9:40 p.m., ET/PT), immediately following the premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Cloud 9.” Beginning January 26, the series will join Disney Channel’s Sunday night family comedy block (8:30 p.m., ET/PT). “I Didn’t Do It” was created by Tod Himmel (“90210,” “The Starter Wife”) and Josh Silverstein (“So Random!”), and is executive-produced by Himmel and Judd Pillot (“According to Jim,” “Dog With A Blog”) and co-executive produced by Rob Lotterstein (“Shake It Up”). Silverstein is supervising producer. “I Didn’t Do It” is a production of It’s a Laugh Productions, Inc. Olivia Holt stars as ambitious straight-A student Lindy; Austin North stars as the cool, ultra-laidback Logan; Piper Curda stars as the smart fashionista Jasmine; Peyton Clark stars as the obsessive germ-phobic Garrett; and Sarah Gilman stars as the loveable eccentric Delia. In the premiere episode, Lindy and Logan face their parents who have just returned from a night out, determined to somehow understand just how their home became covered in foam, why pizza is falling from the ceiling, how a goat got into their living room and what happened to Mrs. Klasby, the 91-year-old babysitter. Do you think she should record another album? Tell us in the comments! Read More: http://www.j-14.com/posts/jennette-mccurdy-performs-an-emotional-cover-of-1d-s-story-of-my-life-18431
