The Bachelor Winter Games Finale Sent Ashley I. to the Fantasy Suite

"Are there fantasy suites?"

That was the question Ashley Iaconetti asked Chris Harrison early in The Bachelor Winter Games' season finale, which was a surprise, considering the source. Ashley, after all, is a virgin, and everyone knows what goes on in the fantasy suite — the first chance for couples to talk without cameras around. And also sex.

It's a little weird to discuss a grown woman's choice to have sex or not, but Ashley's virginity has been a big part of her story since we first met her on Chris Soules' season three years ago. She brought it up, so we have to talk about it.

The 29-year-old virgin has been waiting for the right person, and she may have found him in Kevin, the hunky Canuck who she described as a cross between Tom Brady and James Marsden. The answer to her question was "yes," and so they took some time to get closer. All the remaining couples had fantasy suite dates, but none of them had as much at stake. After all, the longer you wait, the bigger deal it becomes. During their date, they talked about why she's waited this long, and she said that she's answered the question about waiting to find the right person so many times. It turns out she was waiting for Kevin. We saw those happy tears she promised.

They went into the room and drew the curtains.

Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt, The Bachelor Winter Games

The morning after, they talked about how much they talked last night. "So many conversations!" Then she said that her virginity has been talked about so much that now she's done. She's going to keep what did or didn't happen in the fantasy suite between her and Kevin.

She elaborated on her decision to keep it private in an interview with Us Weekly. "Just because I've been public about it in the past, doesn't mean that I can't make something private once somebody else is associated in that topic of my life." Fair point!

Kevin and Ashley were named champions of The Bachelor Winter Games. They received golden roses. She declared herself a "Bachelor success story." Fourth time is the charm!

In the interview Ashley also confirmed that she and Kevin are still together. They're long distance for now, but he's thinking about moving to Los Angeles.

Fourth time is the charm for Ashley I.! Hopefully, we never see her on a Bachelor show again because she doesn't have to do it.

Watch the latest sneak peek at Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time:

While Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time is not yet shaking up the cinematic box office like Black Panther is, the movies have a few things in common. Both have an African-American director and both feature an African American lead. It turns out the space on Disney studios where Ryan Coogler edited Black Panther was write across the hall from where Ava DuVerney was piecing together A Wrinkle in Time. The two even took breaks together and compared notes about film making while walking the Disney studio lot.

The book has inspired generations of youth to pursue careers in science and many are hoping the movie will do the same. Some are even raising money to send young women to see the movie free.

About the movie:
From visionary director Ava DuVernay comes Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” an epic adventure based on Madeleine L’Engle’s timeless classic which takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and, ultimately, the triumph of love. Through one girl’s transformative journey led by three celestial guides, we discover that strength comes from embracing one’s individuality and that the best way to triumph over fear is to travel by one’s own light.

Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time opens in theatres March 9th!

Disney Cruise Line essentials: The Navigator App

One of the new experiences for me on my recent cruise aboard the Disney Dream was the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. It’s a free essential app that helps you do everything from navigate the ship, scout upcoming eventsctivities and menus, and even stay in touch with your travel party while on board. It also comes with a nifty count-down clock to help you get excited as your departure date approaches.

Note: The Disney Blog was invited to experience the Disney Dream at a very reduced media rate. But all the opinions and editorial on the blog are our own.

The first thing to know is that the app doesn’t do much on dry land. You get to enter the date of your cruise and see a count down clock and that’s about it. It will also remind you of important dates, like when to start packing for your cruise.

The real excitement begins once you’re on the ship. Once you’re connected to the ship’s wifi (using the app via wifi is free, but full wifi with internet is an upcharge), you’ll have access to the app’s six main functions.

1) Onboard Chat

Online chat works similarly to a text app on your phone. The people staying in your stateroom will automatically appear in the app, but you can share your contact information with anyone on the ship and then exchange chats. Useful if you have friends in another cabin or meet someone while enjoying the ship’s amenities. There are also child privacy levels configurable, so you can be comfortable knowing they’re safe on board.

2) Activities

Each night you get a special printed Navigator newsletter with the lists of activities for the next day. However, you may prefer to look that up on the App where you can usualy find additional descriptions of the activity. Also included are the alternate times, if any, that activity will be offered. So if you can’t make the Disney Animation session on night one, you know how many other opportunities youll have ahead of you.

If you have a child in one of the kid’s clubs, having a list of activities on your mobile device is handy to text your child and remind them of something they don’t want to miss or to know when an event they’re interested in might be over, so you can plan time together (yeah, good luck with that).

Tip: Clicking on an activities location will bring up the map for the deck plan where you’ll find your location.

The app also has an alert function. So if you want to be reminded about that wine tasting at 4pm, you’ll get a notification ahead of time.

3) Dining

The dining tab will give you access to the menus for each night’s meals. If you like to know in advance what you’ll be ordering or want to prepare a particularly picky child, these are a great help. If you don’t like the menu, there’s always room service.

Here’s a tip: most of the dining rooms share a central kitchen. So if you see something at Enchanted Garden’s menu, but you’re dining at Royal Palace, you can request to have that item brought instead.

3) Locations & Hours

As you might expect, this gives you the operational hours of various activities and locations on the ship. Click on the location and a deck plan will open to get you going in the right direction.

4) Deck Plans Although a deck plan can be found at each elevtor bank on every floor, having the map of the entire ship in your pocket can come in handy. Need to know if you can get from aft to fore on Deck 3? Your App can show you how.

5) Debarkation Information

This is the sad tab, it’s full of the information you need to know to get off the ship at the end of your journey and go through customs. Good to know, but depressing none-the-less.

6) Daily Summary

The daily summary will have port information if it’s a port day, or day at sea activities. There’s also some important weather information on there, along with suggested attire for the evening’s activities.

Another advantage of the app is that its updated in real time. So if there’s a change in schedule, you’ll find the latest times in the app. Paper Navigators are often out of date even by the time you wake up in the morning.

If you’re wondering, your stateroom will still come with two wave phones. But we found the Navigator app’s ability to text one another perfectly fine. Plus if your smart phone has a camera, there’s a good chance you have it on you anyway to take photos. The only thing you need to watch out for is battery use. If you’re phone uses a lot of battery in wi-fi, you’ll need to keep recharging it throughout the day or bring an external battery.

The app is available to download on both Google Play and the Apple App Store. Once you board there are easy to follow instructions on how to connect to the wireles network. You won’t get internet access (that’s still an upcharge), but you will get access to all the app’s features

We can’t wait for our next opportunity to enjoy a Disney Cruise. The Navigator App was a great addition to the experience and now I can’t imagine a cruise without it. Have you had experience using the Navigator App? Did it make your cruise more enjoyable?

Kim Possible live-action movie in the works as casting begins

So what’s the sitch? Call and beep everyone you know because Disney Channel is developing a live-action Kim Possible movie — and casting has begun.

Christy Carlson Romano (Even Stevens) voiced the main character in the original Kim Possible cartoon that ran on Disney Channel from 2002-2007. Now, co-directors and co-producers Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky are looking for new blood to populate their upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie.

Casting director Blyth Nailling is leading the charge to see who will play your typical high school student who saves the world on the side along with her BFF, Ron Stoppable, and his naked mole rat, Rufus, as back-up.

The Kim Possible movie was written by Josh Cagan (The DUFF) and original series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley. McCorkle and Schooley will also executive produce with Zanne Devine.

Someone call Christina Milian to see if she’s up to remix the theme song.

“Mark and Bob created an enduring character and kids all over the world found a friend in her, an average girl who just happens to spend her off-school hours thwarting evil villains. Although Kim Possible ‘can do anything,’ kids and tweens found that this animated redhead was just like them,” Adam Bonnett, executive vice president of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement.

“As we embark on the fun challenge of making Kim and Ron fully dimensional,” he continued, “I’m thrilled to be working again with Mark and Bob and to welcome the addition of a dynamic creative team – Josh, Zanne, Adam, and Zach – into a world where anything is indeed possible.”

Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles celebrates Philadelphia Eagles win at Disney World

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles stars in a celebratory Super Bowl parade Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Magic Kingdom.

Super Bowl hero Nick Foles of the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated their big win by “Going to Disney World!” with a parade down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom.

In front of Cinderella Castle the day after the Eagles’ 41-33 improbable Super Bowl victory, park guests and Eagles fans lined the street as a smiling Foles waved from a float he shared with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other Disney characters. Balloons and a blizzard of confetti in the Eagles’ team colors completed the scene.

“World champions,” shouted Foles. “To be at Disney World is unbelievable.”

Afterward, Foles spent some time enjoying Walt Disney World, experiencing several signature Disney attractions and interacting with Mickey and Minnie.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles shares a special memory with his wife Tori, daughter Lily, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

It was a magical experience for the hero of Super Bowl LII who passed for three touchdowns and caught a fourth touchdown pass (unprecedented for a quarterback in Super Bowl history) in Philadelphia’s upset victory on Sunday night in Minneapolis. A backup quarterback for most of the season, Foles stepped into the starter’s role in December and turned in a stunning performance in Sunday’s big game. His heroics helped him deliver Eagles fans their first world championship in franchise history and earned Foles the game’s Most Valuable Player award.

After the Super Bowl victory, Foles looked into the TV cameras and announced he was “Going to Disney World,” an iconic line that is part of a TV ad airing nationally.

Apparently, Justin Timberlake Nixed The Prince Hologram At The Last Minute

Justin Timberlake's Super Bowl LI halftime show on Sunday (February 4) is still making waves and the latest word on the street is that the pop titan did indeed have plans to use a Prince hologram during his pop spectacle, but axed the idea at the last minute.

On Monday night (February 5), Page Six reported that the idea was nixed at the last minute because of the online backlash following TMZ's initial report. "He was 100 percent ready to use the hologram but nixed it due to backlash from social media and Prince fans. That's why he had that sheet up like in your mama's backyard," one insider told the publication.

Even though Prince's longtime confidant Sheila E. denied the idea of a hologram via Twitter on Saturday, she also hinted that she personally nixed the idea altogether in her Entertainment Tonight interview. "I just said no. I just felt that it was too soon," she told ET. "The hologram was weird, and Prince did tell me [to] make sure nobody ever does a hologram of me. 'If you're still here, make sure nobody does a hologram.' He thought it was very demonic and that's his spiritual beliefs." Meanwhile, a source close to JT explained that plans for a hologram of the Purple Wonder were never there to begin with. "There's no way Justin would ever disrespect Prince's legacy. He didn't change his performance," the source said of his 11-song set.

After sharing a no entry sign emoji to the hashtag #PrinceHologram via Twitter on Saturday, the late pop icon's half-brother, Omarr Baker, shared a thumbs up emoji in response to a fan, who called Timberlake's duet of "I Would Die 4 U" "a beautiful tribute."

How Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl Halftime Show Paid Subtle Homage to Janet Jackson

The singer reprised “Rock Your Body” with one major difference.

Justin Timberlake’s Super Bowl halftime performance was one of the most controversial in recent memory before he set foot on the field of Minnesota’s U.S. Bank Stadium Sunday. (That’s saying something considering last year’s performer was perennial controversy lightning rod Lady Gaga.) 14 years after his halftime performance with Janet Jackson became the most notorious in Super Bowl history,Timberlake was promising in the run-up to this year’s show that he was “doing a few things with this halftime show they’ve never quite done before.” If he meant opening small (with a sea of cell phone screens) instead of big (like Lady Gaga’s skydiving stunt), he was right. But right at the top of the show, Timberlake paid homage to Janet Jackson by reprising the song that once got the two of them in so much trouble.

In 2004, while appearing on stage with Jackson, Timberlake infamously crooned the lyrics to “Rock Your Body” that go “I’m gonna have you naked by the end of this song” as he accidentally tore off more of Jackson’s wardrobe than he meant to. 14 years later, Timberlake sang the song again and abruptly halted and shouted “STOP!” right before those infamous lyrics.

There had been a rumor earlier in the week that Timberlake had planned to use a hologram of Prince in order to honor Minneapolis’s most famous musical son. There was strenuous pushback from Prince’s friends and loved ones—including his longtime musical collaborator Sheila E. who pointed out that Prince has serious issues with that increasingly popular technology. The drummer later tweeted: “Family, I spoke w/Justin 2nite and he shared heartfelt words of respect for Prince & the Purple fans. I look 4wrd 2 seeing what I’m sure is going 2 be a spectacular halftime show. There is no hologram.” Timberlake either scrapped his hologram plans in the face of this public criticism, or never planned to use one in the first place.

There was, indeed, no hologram. Instead, Timeberlake opted to have an image of Prince projected behind him while he sang Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U” while seated at the piano. The entire city was then lit up purple (or at least made to look that way) in honor of the singer.

The tribute received mixed (though mostly positive) reviews on social media thanks, in part, to Timberlake’s long and rocky history with Prince and his fans.

But well received or no, that image of Prince acted as Timberlake’s only guest star (if you don’t count that Jimmy Fallon intro)—something the singer had promised during his press conference last week. “To be honest, I had a ton of grand ideas about special guests,” Timberlake explained. “There’s a whole list. I think Vegas has a lot of odds on it, from ‘NSYNC to Jay [JAY-Z] to Chris Stapleton to Janet.” Timberlake was only the ninth performer in Super Bowl history to complete the halftime show solo.
Timberlake’s set opened up with a new single, “Filthy,” before moving into stadium-shaking favorite like “Rock Your Body,” “Cry Me a River,” Sexyback,” and more. Moving between elaborate dance numbers, slow piano ballads like ”‘Til the End of Time,” and rousing, marching-band-enhanced barn burners, Timberlake delivered everything he had to give on Sunday night. The singer concluded with his crowd-pleasing, Oscar-nominated “Can’t Stop the Feeling” as the whole crowd, lit up by cell phones, danced along.

Short of a Jackson cameo, it was quite the show.
