Jessie, The Love Story; Episode 31(Series Finale): Debby Ryan(Jessie Prescott) Has A Role In Disney Junior’s Animated Series “Goldie & Bear”

In information from Disney Junior, Debby Ryan (“Jessie”) will be voicing a character in their new animated series called “Goldie & Bear!” That’s so cool! We are happy for her!! Debby just recently wrapped on 4 seasons of the ever-so-popular series “Jessie” and is also working on new music. It will be nice to hear her voice on another Disney show. Read more: Production has begun on Disney Junior’s “Goldie & Bear,” a fairytale-inspired animated series for preschoolers. Slated to debut in Fall 2015, the series follows the adventures of newfound friends Goldie and Bear, following the renowned porridge incident of “Goldilocks and The Three Bears.” The announcement was made today by Nancy Kanter, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide. Kanter said, “Disney Junior embraces strong storytelling and memorable characters, and nothing reflects that more than classic fairytales. We are excited to continue the story of ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’ from a new perspective and hope to inspire kids to create their own ‘happily-ever-afters’ by giving them new stories featuring classic characters they already know and love.” Set in the Fairytale Forest, the series follows the adventures of plucky Goldie and her best friend, Bear, as they encounter well-known characters from fairytales and nursery rhymes, including Little Red Riding Hood, Humpty Dumpty and The Three Little Pigs. Maria Tatar, John L. Loeb Professor of Germanic Languages and Literatures at Harvard University and Disney Junior Advisory Board Member, serves as the series consultant, advising on storytelling, fairytales and folklore. The importance of storytelling is central to the show’s curriculum, with episodes referencing original fairytales and nursery rhymes while providing new insights into their narratives and underlying messages. Throughout the series, Goldie and Bear model friendship and community, demonstrate creative problem-solving and exhibit critical thinking skills such as logic and strategy. Natalie Lander (“The Middle”) stars as Goldie, alongside Georgie Kidder (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars”) as Bear. Recurring guest stars include Lesley Nicol (“Downton Abbey”) as Fairy Godmother and Debby Ryan (“Jessie”) as Thumbelina. Miles Brown and Marsai Martin (“black-ish”) appear as Jack & Jill. “Goldie & Bear” was created by children’s book author Jorge Aguirre (“Giants Beware!” series) and developed for television by Aguirre and Rick Gitelson (“Handy Mandy”). Joe Ansolabehere (“Recess”) is story editor, and songs are composed by Rob Cantor (from the band Tally Hall). Chris Gilligan (“Frankenweenie”) serves as supervising director and executive producer. The series is produced by Milk Barn Productions in association with Disney Junior. Photo source: Disney Junior Ver Mas en:

Jessie,The Love Story; Episode 29: Ask A Guy: How To Deal If Your Boyfriend Wants To Be Alone After A Fight by Emma Ross

Dear Joel, I’ve been with my boyfriend for over two years now, and lately we’ve been fighting a lot. The last fight ended with him saying he wanted to be alone for a time (not more than a day), and me feeling really lonely and sad. The reasons we fight are because I am too jealous and controlling. How do I know if he is tired of me? What can I do? Should I leave him alone?
Before we talk about him, clearly there are some things about yourself we need to discuss. If you’re still jealous of things two years into a relationship, that’s a problem. Does he give you reason to act that way? If your jealousy is unfounded, then you really need to figure out how to deal with it, because that WILL ruin any relationship on its own and left unchecked. On the flip side, if he gives you reason to be jealous, that’s a problem too. Before you can fix the relationship, you need to attend to yourself. That being said, if your jealously is at the core of a lot of these fights, then it’s both likely and understandable that he wants to be left alone so things don’t get to the point that he breaks up with you. Often times, people just want some time to collect their thoughts and calm down, as getting caught up in the moment can lead to people saying things they don’t mean. In general, if people ask for some space – give it to them. We’re not talking days and days, but everyone is entitled to a few minutes or hours of quiet or solitude if and when they need. The key is finding a relaxed, calm way to restart the conversation, and work towards solving the problem, as opposed to trying to win the argument. That’s one of the most important parts of a relationship: understanding how to argue and compromise with your partner. Everyone has different approaches to arguing, and if yours don’t match up, you need to work even harder so things get solved. It’s by no means an impossible task, and sitting down at some point when you’re NOT fighting and discussing things can go a long way. So if you want to know what to do, it all starts with you. You need to figure out how to get your jealousy under control, and relax a bit on how much you’re running the relationship. A successful, long lasting relationship needs to be rooted in equality, and if you can’t get to that point, it may become your own undoing. Best of luck! Joel Ver Mas en:

Jessie, The Love Story; Episode 25: 3 Reasons You Should NOT Wear Makeup to the Gym by Emma Ross

Exercise is an activity meant to keep your body fit and healthy, but so many girls ignore the importance of keeping one thing healthy during workouts: their skin. Sure, we all want to look as though we're unfazed by that CrossFit box session, so a little foundation can't hurt. Or maybe we just don't have time to remove makeup from the day before jetting off to a dance class. There are many ways you can get glowing skin without sacrificing the health of your body's biggest organ. C'mon, the natural flush you get when busting out your best squats is better than any blush on the market! We spoke to Miami-based dermatologist Janelle Vega, M.D. of Mayoral Dermatology and Indie Lee, skincare expert and founder of her namesake skin care line, Indie Lee to give you the scoop on why you need to scrub it all off before a workout. Get ready to take notes. It Clogs Your Pores "Sweat is released through visible pores in the skin," says Dr. Vega. "When makeup covers those pores, that barrier doesn't allow the sweat to make it to the surface of the skin, which can lead to clogged pores. The trapped debris and bacteria are a perfect breeding ground for acne bumps and zits." But don't get it confused—sweat is not the enemy! "Sweating is like a free steam facial for your skin," says Lee. "The worst thing you can do is block your pores during this natural detox. Remove makeup before breaking a sweat so skin stays as clean and as healthy as possible." You Don't Want Acne Your daily SPF can actually be troublesome in this context. No good deed goes unpunished, huh? "Sun protection is very important, there's no doubt," says Lee. "But sunscreen absorbs into open pores more easily when you sweat. Three-quarters of all sunscreens contain harmful ingredients that can travel directly into your bloodstream, creating long-term health risks. Chemical ingredients in sunscreen have been linked to skin reactions including acne, burning, dryness, itching, redness, and swelling." But this is no excuse to go without SPF if you're working out during the day. "Instead, opt for healthier sunscreens when active while the sun is out," says Lee. "As I always say, read your ingredients. I also recommend wearing clothes that have SPF in them for added protection without the negative side effects." You're Naturally Beautiful A clear complexion comes from loving and taking care of your skin with the proper daily beauty regimen. Have you noticed more and more celebrities aren't afraid to share their #iwokeuplikethis images on Twitter and Instagram? Get inspired! "If you're prone to redness or rosacea, apply a toner or facial mist with anti-inflammatory properties prior to exercising," says Lee. This will help alleviate redness during and after your workout. Try Indie Lee's CoQ-10 Toner, which offers a soothing blend of chamomile and CoQ-10 to keep skin protect and hydrate your skin." Caring for your skin doesn't end once you leave the gym. "Your sweat is acidic by nature and can knock your pH balance out of whack if you wait too long to shower after working out," says Lee. "Clean skin with a gentle formula that not only removes dirt and impurities, but also balances your complexion." Ready to bare your skin for today's workout? Don't make us beg! Read More:

Jessie,The Love Story; Episode 23: 7 Unconventional Valentine’s Day Date Ideas For Weird Girls by Emma Ross

Does this sound familiar? You have a BF or GF, but you’re really not into the whole Valentine’s Day thing. It’s not that you’re not into having a special day to hang out with your S.O… you’re just not into the mushy, super commercialized, saccharine approach to the holiday. You might think that getting a dozen stem roses is alright and all, but it’s not exactly your idea of a good time. Maybe people find that weird but so what? What you like is what you like. So if you want to do something on Valentine’s Day that is a little offbeat and ain’t super cheesy, try out these seven unconventional Valentine’s Day date ideas. You’re not an average girl, so you deserve a not-so-average V-Day. Watch A Not-So-Romantic Movie A friend of mine and her BF are going to check out a midnight screening of Sid And Nancy as their Valentine's Day date. If you don't know much about this tragic punk pairing, just know that this is definitely not the kind of romance you'd see in a Nicholas Sparks movie, okay? So why not take that as some inspo and watch a movie about an effed up romance. Or better yet, watch a movie that is as far from the topic of love as possible. That's a great "LOL thanks but no thanks" to this mushy holiday. Otherwise, you can just hate watch Valentine's Day. Go Scour A Record Store If you and your BF/GF love music, spend the afternoon at a record store. Yes, they still exist. You can find some really awesome records or just laugh about how ridiculous album are was in the '70s. Of course, it's preferable to do both of these things. Go Hang Out At A Cemetary No, this isn't a joke. Seriously, grave yards are actually pretty cool and some have some amazing sculptures scattered around between the tombstones. You never know what you two might end up chatting about. Just make sure you're respectful of the dead and all. Like, don't have sex on somebody's grandma, please. Go To A Concert Most people wouldn't consider standing in a sweaty concert hall watching a bunch of sweaty people perform as all that romantic, but hey, screw them TBH. Start looking for some cheap shows you can check out on Valentine's Day. The show might be good, it might be terrible, but either way you two will end up having a good time and some laughs. Play A Silly Board Game Or Card Game Yo, if you just want a chill night in, play some of your old board games or a card game or something. Of course, a two-person game of something like Cards Against Humanity might not be that exciting but you'll make it work. But hey, if you have Candyland anywhere, break it out! Check Out A Weird Museum There are more museums out there than stuffy art galleries. Google weird, unique museums in your town and get ready to be surprised. Are one of you guys into space? Go to an observatory. Is one of you super morbid? You might have a weird museum of death or something in your city. Hey, there's a museum dedicated to troll dolls here in NYC, you'd be surprised at how many weird places you'll find in your town whether it's big or small. Go To A Random Part Of Town With Zero Plans And Just...Walk You could flip a coin and decide which way to go if you need a bit of a boost. You might stumble upon something really cool! You might come across a cool fair or a weird book store or a cool junk shop or a place with awesome, cheap tacos. Read More:
