Your favorite animated Disney movies, like Frozen, Tangled and The Princess and the Frog, are plagued with fan theories.
Some disturbing, some thought-inducing and some sort WTF-status, you’re wondering how you missed ‘em yourself.
And, apparently, the same thing could be said for some of your favorite Disney Channel TV series — like Phineas and Ferb!
1. It’s all in Candace’s mind. Like the Rugrats theory (which suggests all the babies are dead in real life, and living only in Angelica’s mind) no one likes to talk about, there’s one theory about the Disney Channel cartoon that claims that Phineas was real, but was killed and lives only as a figment of his sister’s imagination.
“Candace couldn’t deal with Phineas’ death, so she built an imaginary world where he was still alive and playing with her other brother Ferb. Ferb has a disability and can’t talk or do much, but she imagines him and Phineas going on great adventures together,” says one theorist.
2. Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is actually Phineas’ father! Believe it or not, there’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to this suggestion!
Supposed evidence: 1. They have a similar head shape. 2. Being the son of a scientist would explain why Phineas is so intelligent. 3. P&F have access to a lot of funds, potentially because of a trust fund set up by his long-lost genius father? There’s a lot to digest, so we’ll let you think this one over.
3. Perry’s sole purpose is to keep Phineas and Dr. Doofenshmirtz from meeting.
Going off of Theory Numero Dos — that Heinz and Phineas are father and son — everyone’s favorite platypus was supposedly put on Earth to prevent his master from interacting with his enemy for fear that he may turn out evil as well. Interesting.
